1. What was your life like prior to and after the BodyKey® by NUTRIWAY® journey?
My life is always very busy and has become very hectic over the last couple of years with 6 grandchildren under 3, working a couple of days a week, along with our Amway business. I started on the BodyKey Program in 2015 and had success, however I had since allowed life to take over and had lost focus.
When I am busy, I can easily find excuses not to exercise, forget to eat, and as a result I tend to eat whatever is on hand. I felt bloated, sluggish and my clothes were tight. When I am on the program, I eat regularly and mindfully, plus make sure to make time for exercise.
2. What are the significant physical improvements you’ve experienced while on BodyKey®, such as weight, improvements in muscle mass, body fat %, BMI etc.?
I have been on the BodyKey Program for 5 weeks. During the first few weeks I saw very little change on the scales, but the difference showed up elsewhere.
My present weight loss is 7.2kgs.
Body fat percentage has decreased by 5%.
BMI has decreased by 2.4%.
Waist measurement has decreased by 10.5 cm.
3. How does that make you feel?
Initially, I was frustrated that I was not meeting my expectations of 1kg a week, however I am now focusing on the fact that I enjoy exercising again and the visible changes in my body. I love that my clothes are fitting again and have gained confidence knowing that I look better and feel more energised.
4. Have you tried to lose weight previously and if so, how successful were you at losing weight and keeping it off?
Previously, my weight had been reasonably stable, however over the last few years, I have started to put on weight due to stress caused by unfortunate personal circumstances. In 2015 when I went on BodyKey®, it was a reminder that I needed to take care of myself. When I finished the program, my weight increase was gradual, but looking back I can identify why. For example; at the hospital with our grandson, I would use a coffee and muffin to cope with the stress, a glass of wine would also make me feel better (short term) and days by a hospital bed left little time for exercise, or so I thought at the time. The truth is, I was totally unmotivated for quite a while.
5. What’s your exercise regimen like?
I am walking most days with a minimum of 10,000 steps. When I am unable to walk (weather/time), I find another form of exercise such as Zumba, Aerobics, or Yoga. Twice a week I also attend a clinical Pilates class.
6. What other NUTRIWAY® products have helped you on your weight management journey?
We take a range of NUTRIWAY products such as DOUBLE X®, Vitamin B Complete, Vitamin C Plus, Cal Mag D Advance, Glucosamine HCI with Boswellia, Omega 3 Complex, XS™ Rhodiola, and Milk Thistle & Dandelion on a daily basis. Since being on BodyKey®, I have added Trim Choice Advance twice a day, Carb Blocker Plus when required and XS Strawberry Burn when I need a refreshment.
7. What are your weight management goals?
I intend to bring all of my statistics to within the normal range. This will require me to lose between 6 - 10kgs and then to maintain that weight by making sure that I exercise regularly. By having the BodyKey® Meal Replacement Shakes as part of my daily routine, it makes it easier for me to stay on track with my weight management goals.
8. Do you have any advice for others looking to start their weight management journey?
The main advice I can give is to not look for a short term fix to your weight concerns. The BodyKey® Program is about more than just weight, it is also about your health. If you do not see quick results, stick with the program, this is a lifestyle change that will benefit you for the long term. Remember that you are eating for nutrition, organise your meals so that you always have healthy choices on hand.
